Mark
your calendars for TBC Women's Day Celebration to be observed May
1 - May 2. This year's theme is "Women of God: Walking
in Faith". All women of Tabernacle Baptist Church are
asked to give a $50 offering in observance of this event. This year's
events will feature a prayer breakfast and conference on Saturday,
May 1 and culminate with Bishop
Vashti McKenzie as the guest speaker during both services
on Sunday, May 2. Registration forms are available

TBC wishes to thank all of the members of the 120th Anniversary Committee
for a job well done. The Anniversary Banquet was held on Saturday, March
13th and featured a performance of "The Mighty Men of Valor".
TBC recently broke ground on a new apartment complex for seniors aged
55 and up. This complex will feature 34 one-bedroom and 14 two-bedroom

TBC Youth are "On the Move!"... to Atlanta!
August 5-7, 2010. Initial deposits are due on March 5, 2010. Click

Downtown Churches United is sponsoring
its annual fundraiser lunch and play at Swift Creek Mill Playhouse
on Saturday, May 8. The play is a musical entitled "A Grand
Night for Singing" featuring the music of Rodgers and Hammerstein.
The cost is $42 and includes lunch at the playhouse. Contact Deaconess
Florence Rhue if interested.
Scholarship applications are now
available in the office. They must be filled out and returned
by July 30 to Sisters Mary Ann Bailey, Regina Payne, or Bernice
Williams.

The Senior Citizens Ministry sponsors
activities Monday - Thursday in the CLC in cooperation with Petersburg
Parks and Leisure Services. Transportation can be arranged by
804-733-2394. All activities are FREE! Activities are as follows:
Monday: crochet, movie, pokeno,
games at 10 am
Tuesday: aerobics, bingo start at 9:30 am
Wednesday: Bible study and a speaker start at 9 am
Thursday: aerobics, knitting, card games start at 9:30 am
Did you know?
Gravel Run Baptist Church, located in Dinwiddie County, is a host
site for Angel Food Ministries. This is a non-profit, non-denominational
organization dedicated to providing grocery relief and financial
support to various communities. One unit of food costs
$30 and can feed a family of four for about one week.
There are no income qualifications and orders must be placed in
